Our purebred puppies are raised with love by our family in our Lancaster, Pennsylvania home, surrounded by farm fields and lots of open space — from our family to yours, our home to yours!

Who We Are
We (Matt & Mary) are hobby breeders, and we both grew up having litters with our family dogs. That special experience has stayed with us and is something that we have now, together, passed on to our own eleven children. In fact, our kids really are third-generation hobby breeders, as it is quite a family effort! We are committed to raising healthy, genetically-diverse, and well-socialized puppies and to giving them incredible, intentional care and love for the first chapter of their lives. Finding good homes for each of our puppies is very important to us — our buyers become part of the Long Lane “Puppy Family!” We really treasure getting updates from our puppy families through the years. We truly love the whole experience of raising puppies as a family and connecting with people!
Lucy is our beloved family dog and a wonderful Golden Retriever. She is the daughter of Milly, who was our first family dog with our own children and remains with us in our hearts forever. Lucy is a beautiful Golden with a friendly, intelligent, pleasant, and devoted disposition. She has proven to be an excellent mother too! AKC registered, she has her hip clearances, Embark DNA genetic testing, and AKC pedigree. She is fifth-generation in the line of wonderful Goldens from Mary’s side of the family that has a long history of great health and longevity, some dogs even living to sixteen years of age! All of our puppy families are able to meet Lucy and interact with her. We couldn’t ever ask for a better dog or mother for our puppies!
Tramin “Jack” Daniels is a beautiful European Golden Retriever who lives right up the road from us. He is friendly, intelligent, and hearty. Originally from Ukraine, Jack brings excellent genetic diversity and top-tier health to our litter. This is very significant, as Goldens in the United States have seen a decrease in genetic diversity and lifespan, alongside an increase in diseases, especially cancers; however, this has not been the case in Europe. AKC and UKU registered, he has his hip and elbow OFA certificates, Embark DNA genetic testing, and AKC pedigree. A multi-champion, Jack comes from a long line of show dogs that boasts a perfect health history. He is just simply a wonderful Golden and an exceptional sire for our puppies!
From the moment our puppies are born, we are right there, mindful to give first priority to mama’s instinctive nurturing, while also knowing the importance of human interaction for puppies’ all-around wellness. Raised in our living space, our family can observe them, tend to them, hold them, and play with them at all times. It really is round-the-clock care! We pan potty-train our litters and also give them crate exposure, both of which offer them a great head start with any additional training down the road. Our puppies go home veterinarian-checked, with their first round of immunizations, and de-wormed. We also provide AKC registration, a health guarantee, and a written bill of sale. We do everything we can to best prepare our puppies for their new families and forever homes!
